The Twilight Cast’s Triumphan Return to thge MTV Movie Awards

MTV talks about the stars of Twilight now and the difference a year ago when Twilight hadn’t even come out yet.
One year ago, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and a handful of other “Twilight” stars arrived at the MTV Movie Awards and walked down the red carpet, with most of the world’s press uninterested in speaking with them. In fact, they had to go back to the beginning of the carpet and start again, just so they could be properly introduced to those who didn’t realize they were movie stars…
Hardwicke has a seat on the aisle, stage right. And she’s ready to do a lot of jumping up and down and shrieking if “Twilight” continues its rags-to-riches story at the MTV Movie Awards. “I think it’s going to be different,” she said of the reception she expects for stars like Pattinson on this year’s red carpet. “Most people, now, know who Robert is. He’s been at the top of the Star Meter on IMdB for a year now — he’s really blown up big.”
“We were in Italy with him, and Germany, London. People all over the world are just crazy about him,” she said of watching Rob’s ascension to the top ranks in Hollywood. “So, [the Movie Awards] are going to be a lot of fun.”
Billy Burke Calls Rumors of Rob and Kristen ‘Ridiculous’

E!Online spoke to Billy Burke about the hook up rumors and here’s what he has to say:
Kristen Stewart’s on-set dad thinks the hot hookup reports about her and Robert Pattinson—which have been extensively covered in Ted Casablanca’s Awful Truth—are ridiculous.
“As far as I know, I’m gonna say bulls–t,” Billy Burke said at Melanie Segal’s MTV Movie Awards gift suite. “I’m not buying it. Please!”
Interesting. Then again, when do dads (even movie ones) ever know what the kids are really up to?
Burke just returned from filming New Moon in Vancouver, where he and Rob sometimes grabbed drinks at local dive bars.
So what’s R.Pattz like when the cameras aren’t rolling?
“He’s a goofball,” Billy said about Rob’s real personality. “If people knew how much of a goofball he was, they wouldn’t be falling all over the place. He doesn’t take it all too seriously.”
Catherine Hardwicke Thinks Robert Pattinson Deserves Breakthrough Male Award

Catherine spoke to MTV about why she thinks Rob should win the Breathrough Performance MTV Movie Award.
Next up, Catherine led us into the living room where she keeps a magazine rack. And, after spinning around the rack to reveal dozens of covers featuring her lead actor, she was eager to discuss Robert Pattinson’s nomination for Breakthrough Male Performance.
“I remember when we first cast him. We put it on the Internet, and people were sending e-mails [saying], ‘He’s revolting! He’s disgusting! He can’t be Edward!’ And of course, the fans, after we started putting out some photographs of him looking like Edward, they turned around,” Hardwicke grinned. “Now he’s pretty much on the cover of every magazine! It’s pretty crazy.”
Walk into any supermarket and you’re bound to find a few RPattzes staring at you while you’re in the checkout line. But while every year brings with it a few new Hollywood beefcakes, Hardwicke said she’s most proud of Rob because his breakthrough might be building a career to be proud of for decades.
“I think he could do some really interesting roles, like Johnny Depp has chosen — such unique roles,” she explained of the actor, who first auditioned (the biology scene) in her dining room, then went into the bedroom to try out that famous kiss. “He can transform himself into other characters, and I love that Rob will do things that we don’t expect. He’s going to do really unusual, unique things — and I’m looking forward to it.”
Kissing Expert Weighs In: Which Kiss is Better? Twilight or High School Musical?

RadarOnline has a kissing expert who givesd his opinion on this year’s Best Kiss contenders at the MTV Movie Awards.
When it comes to Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart’s forbidden vampire-on-human kiss, Demirjian was impressed. “I looked at this one a few times, cuz I was like, ‘whoa!’” she laughed. “The kiss was so sexy, just the way their lips were grazing against each other—it wasn’t deep-throat tongue kissing.” Part of the appeal of this silver-screen kiss is the tension, Demirjian said, which gave the eventual smooch “all the perfect makings of suspense and anticipation. And that makes a kiss more desirous.”
If you want to give someone a silver-screen-worthy snogging, Demirjian says her two basic tips are to slow down and keep it clean. “I always encourage people to enjoy kissing softly and gently,” she suggests. In other words: easy on the tongue wrestling. Don’t skip the dental floss, either. “You never know when a kiss is going to present itself,” she reminded. “A kiss can really get dinged on a technicality like bad breath.”
So which leading man does Demirjian think will reign supreme? “I wouldn’t necessarily compare them to one another, because they were two very different categories. One is sort of a beastly, supernatural thing versus two charmed kids in High School Musical,” she said. But Demirjian did give the kisses a star rating based on sexiness. Pattinson and Stewart scored a four-and-a-half out five, while Efron and Hudgens got “a four or three-and-a-half.” Guess we’ll just have to wait until Sunday to see if the MTV audience agrees with the expert!

Italian fans of Twilight were given a glimpse of the action in the sequel to the saga as Robert Pattinson and his co-stars began lensing more scenes for New Moon this week.
Twenty-three-year-old Robert and Kristen Stewart who plays the British heart-throb’s love interest Bella in the vampire fantasy, are currently filming in the medieval town of Montepulciano in Tuscany. The move to the Italian location follows a stint on the movie’s Vancouver set.
News of the arrival of the cult hit’s cast didn’t take long to reach the locals. Dozens of excited fans camped outside Robert’s hotel hoping to catch a glimpse of their idol.
In breaks from filming Robert and Kristen, who play an on-screen couple, have been taking in the local sights. Picturesque Montepulciano stands in for Volterra, the home of the vampire coven known as the Volturi, whose leader Aro is played by newcomer Michael Sheen.
Another newcomer is Dakota Fanning, who plays a vampire who can create the illusion of pain.
The movie focuses on the relationship between Robert’s supernatural character Edward Cullen and teen Bella who is devastated when he abruptly disappears. And she finds herself drawn into the world of werewolves – ancestral enemies of the vampires – by her growing friendship with Jacob Black, played by 17-year-old Taylor Lautner, and finds her loyalties tested.
For those who can’t wait to see the new film, due to be released in the UK on November 27, there’s a chance to see a clip from it on Sunday when Robert, Kristen and Taylor present it at the MTV Movie Awards.

Robert Pattinson Sings the Blues
Playing a brooding vampire isn’t Pattinson’s only gift — He’s also an amazing singer!
Morphing into seductive vampire Edward Cullen might pay the bills, but Robert Pattinson’s other passion has him using a different skill set. The smoldering 23-year-old bachelor’s heart belongs to music. “It just spills out of him,” Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke tells OK! of Pattinson, who has been playing piano and guitar since age 3.
“He also makes these compositions that are almost the most beautiful classical pieces you have ever heard.” Two of the British-born Pattinson’s creations will even appear in the series second film, New Moon, which is currently filming in Vancouver. The crooner may lead all-night jam sessions with co-stars, but he’s equally happy holed-up alone, strumming his guitar and singing in a style that rivals his idol, Van Morrison. “the guy is limitlessly talented,” says Hardwicke. “You would think that is a 60-year-old blues singer.”

London Paper Talks About Rob’s Abs, Mentions Airbrushing

Courtesy of Lion_Lamb we have a scan of a London paper talking about Rob’s abs. It seems people love to point out that they were airbrushed a bit. People: get over it, it’s a movie. Everything needs to be retouched with make up for enhancement. In some movies they even retouch women’s cleavage for the same purpose. Ask Keira Knightley in Pirates of the Caribbean! That doesn’t mean it’s fake. If it was fake we would’ve seen it in the first movie, and we didn’t because Rob admitted he couldn’t get a six pack. If it was that easy to fake, we would’ve seen it in the meadow scene (no offense, Rob lol). Make up just makes it stand out more, that’s all.
He deserves some credit! Don’t exagerate.
