OK Magazine Mexico Interviews Robert Pattinson

Wednesday, March 31st, 2010

normal_okmag_mar_2010_01

I thought we were done with the Mexican scans and interviews, but we’re not! Today I found two gems (the Quién cartoon posted below) and this very long interview with Rob by OK Magazine. I hope you like it. The set of scans include some pictures of him in Mexico in 2008, some of his famous baby pictures and other personal pictures from the past.

>> SCANS HERE.

What’s thw first thing you say to a girl on a date?
I don’t talk about myself, no way. You can’t show yourself too quickly. You have to find out what she likes before you start talking.

How can they win your heart?
With money!

Anything else?
Infinite pacience.

What do you hate about fame?
I get paranoid; I have to be careful and try to tell who genuienly likes me, and who wants to be with me just so I like them.

And how can you tell if you can trust them?
If you give them your number and they call you right away, you can’t trust them. If they can’t wait to call and call you the very next day, I don’t want to know about them anymore (laughs).

You seem like a hostage of your own success. Would you prefer to go back to the days when you were unknown?
No, if I had that sort of mentality, I would go nuts. It’s annoying to see how people will stop at nothing. You learn a lot about human behavior. It gets irritating. But I wouldnever want to go back to the past.

Where do you live in America?
I’ve been staying in hotels for that past three years.

Photo. About Mexico city, a place he visited for less than 48 hours while promoting Twilight he said: “I’ve never seen anything like it. In every city there’s an industrial zone around the airport, and in Mexico city you leave the airport and the entire city is just right there, and it’s immediatly vibrant. I’ve never seen such an active city, I really liked it. Wouldn’t mind living there for a while.

Complete interview after the jump.

Quién Magazine’s 10 Things You Didn’t Know About Robert Pattinson + Cartoon

Wednesday, March 31st, 2010

quien_abr_2010_012

You might remember last week that I posted a cartoon of Rob by Mexican magazine Quién. Here’s the complete article available on their latest issue (April 2nd), titled 10 Things You Didin’t Know About Robert Pattinson. That explains the cartoon and all the items in it!
Here’s the translation of the article. There are some tiny inaccuracies, but I’ll point them out for you, nothing too big.

1. He modeled for a while and in 2007 he was part of Hackett’s Fall capmpaign.

2. He’s afraid of the dark and can’t sleep without a night light.

3. He plays the piano and the guitar. He played two songs for the Twilight soundtrack, but his name is not in the credits. (Yes, it is! But only one of his two songs is on the actual album)

4. He loves hamburgers and Coke, and if he’s having a bad day, he asks a fan out. (Um, we wish! He only asked a fan out once, in Spain, before he became a huge star, while he was filming Little Ashes. He’s never done it again, he thinks he bores girls. As if!).

5. He prefers public transportation or walking, because he hates driving and even dislikes taxis.

6. He doesn’t play soccer, but he’s a fan of Arsenal.

7. When he was 12 his sisters used to dress him up as a girl and introduce him as Claudia.

8. He misses open mic sessions with his friends (the magazine actually says it’s karaoke, but it’s actually open mic nights at bars). But he’s so afraid to do it again because he doesn’t want to end up on Youtube.

9. He said that the most important being in his life is his dog Patty, a westy that has been with him for years. (Patty died over a yearago, but we only learned that recently).

10. He dislikes sports, but he likes darts, which he considers excercise.

As usual, please link back if you re-post and thanks to everybody for your comments on the scans and translations! :)

Here they are! The new official Twilight Saga: Eclipse stills in HUGE (and man, we mean it) sizes and untagged, courtesy of Summit Entertainment. They might take a while to load, but be patient.
In these stills we see Jacob, Bella and Edward in a very serious moment. You can tell the tension between Edward and Jacob. In the second still we can see Bella and Jacob close together sitting by the bonfire listening to the Quileute stories, and in the last still you can see the Cullens (Jasper, Rosalie, Alice, Esme and Carlisle) training in preparation for their confrontation with Victoria’s army of newborns.

I’m not tagging them but please link back if you repost.

Poll of the Day: The Next Character Novel

Tuesday, March 30th, 2010

tsslobtcover

We’re going to start daily polls on Twilight Poison featuring the biggest news item of the day. Today’s big news was the announcement of “The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner,” a novel about Twilight’s youngest vampire. Many fans were surprised by the announcement of a new Twilight-related novel that nobody was expecting. Most of them were even more surprised by the character that was chosen to have its own novel, considering the dozens of characters that Twilight fans find most intriguing, it was a little strange that a very minor character was prefered over any of them.

Time to cast your vote… (poll working now!)

The next character novella should be based on...

Jackson Rathbone Makes Directorial Debut for Charity

Tuesday, March 30th, 2010

001

So many Jackson news lately! And we’re not complaining; after months of laying low, there’s news about Jackson’s upcoming projects everywhere: Dread, The Last Airbender, Eclipse and now a new charity/music project that is very close to Jackson’s heart and that many of you will find heart-warming.

Several years ago, Jackson lost a very close friend of his to adrenal cancer:

“That’s probably my worst fear in life, to see a friend pass away,” he told Hollywood Crush while discussing his new horror movie, “Dread.” “My friend Spencer was an incredible musician and artist and he had so many songs that never would see the light of day.”

His family and friends have started an organization in his memory: The Spencer Bell Legacy Project.

“The Spencer Bell Legacy Project has been up and running for the last three years,” Jackson said. “We’ve been able to put out now three albums of Spencer’s work posthumously. That to me is just incredible, the amount of people who have been supporting the cause for organ cancer awareness.”

Jackson directed a music video for one of Spencer’s singles, marking his directorial debut. It can been seen here:

“It was my first attempt at having an idea that coincides with a piece of music that I really love, and how I wanted to express that with the sentiment of a song, and also the lyrics. …It was just funny because literally I had a day off, so I just kind of went in and went for it.”

On directing more music videos in the future:

“I’d love to direct more music videos,” he said. “I’m working on some stuff with the band that will hopefully be coming out once we’re done with our tour [and I can] get back and try to work on a couple more of those things. I’m still into acting, some short stories, and short films I hope to direct and fully realize, after the tour’s over and I get another day off.”

Visit The Spencer Bell Legacy Project for information on the fundraiser concert in Dallas to benefit cancer research and awareness, headlined by Jackson’s band, 100 Monkeys.

Jackson Rathbone Promises Fans Will Love The Last Airbender

Tuesday, March 30th, 2010

Jackson Rathbone along with the cast of The Last Airbender talked about the movie at the Kids Choice Awards. He’s very excited for fans to see it:

“It’s all about the preparation,” said Rathbone, who plays Sokka. “That’s one thing I really learned, is how hard and how long Night takes to prepare his films and to really get into it. He had every single shot plotted out, and it was really nice to work with someone who tells you what’s going to come next in his vision.”

“What you can expect from the film is a lot of amazing action and a lot of really personalized drama,” Rathbone added. “It’s a very realistic story set in a fantasy film. What Night was able to bring to the cinema with this is an action/family film that people are [going to be] blown away by.”

The Metro Interviews Rob: “I’m Picky About Roles”

Tuesday, March 30th, 2010

detailsrob7

In an interview with Metro, Rob talked about his work and how he chooses the roles he wants to play. He says he sees hundreds of scripts and he’s never interested in anything in particular. Remember Me was special.

“I never like anything, so it’s quite easy to decide what to do – I’ve never felt any pressure to do anything, particularly. Even when we were shooting it [Remember Me] I never thought about the box office.”

He added: “I had read tonnes and tonnes of scripts over the summer after I did Twilight, I mean hundreds, and everything seemed exactly the same.

“But this one, the way the dialogue was written, it just seemed much more naturalistic than most things.

“It’s not really a feel-good movie. They don’t make movies like it anymore, I think that’s how I kind of choose stuff, that’s the only criteria I have. There seems

He hopes the Twilight fanbase enjoys the movie, but doesn’t expect to please an audience:

“Obviously you hope people like things but I think if you start doing stuff to please a certain audience then you’re going in the wrong direction. I mean, you don’t even know the people you’re trying to please, especially if you’re trying to please whole swathes of people.

“I hope they like it.”
