Adam Brody, who once was Kristen’s leading man in In The Land Of Women, was not very kind to her a month ago when he suggested that if she couldn’t handle fame, she should quit acting. Naturally, Kristen and Twilight fans were upset since it was a very harsh comment coming from someone who hasn’t really dealt with a serious ammount of fame worldwide like Kristen (I mean, dude had a supporting role on a cancelled TV show like 5 years ago, followe by a series of not very succesful movies).
Here’s the original comment he made, when director Diablo Cody asked him if he wanted to be left alone, like Kristen Stewart said in an interview before:
“I don’t have a lot of patience for people who moan about it too much. Because there are many things you could do. … It’s like, quit … you don’t need to be an actor, so it’s like, if it’s that much of a problem … there’s the door.”
But now, MTV spoke to him and asked him again about the comments he made and Adam said:
“It wasn’t taken out of context. I saw [the episode] and thought I sounded like an idiot. I did,” Brody admitted. “Regardless of how anyone else took anything, I would think that sounds very ungentlemanly and I sounded like a jackass.”
Indeed you did, Adam, but at least you can admit your mistake. That is very gentlemanly.
