Alexandre Desplat Named Composer of the Year For New Moon
According to Variety, the composer behind the origina music in The Twilight Saga: New Moon, Alexandre Desplat, has taken top honors at the World Soundtrack Awards for the second year running.
He was named film composer of the year on Saturday evening for his work on “Fantastic Mr. Fox,” “New Moon,” “Julie & Julia” and “The Ghost Writer.”
“Mr Fox” also got the nod for best original film score, repeating Desplat’s double last year with “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.”
The original music for New Moon is extremely underrated, in our opinion.
