Charlie and Alex attended the horror convention HallowFest in Mexico city this weekend.
Charlie participated in a panel this afternoon and answered questions froms fans. Here are some tidbits (as posted on our @TwilightPoison twitter account):
Charlie said that if he could play another character in the saga he’d play Jacob because he has a big a heart like him.
Would his character fall in love with a human or Bella? He looks at an image of Kristen on the screen and says “naaah” (he was kidding tho)
He said Demetri doesn’t look for love. He’s a vampire who likes to haunt, and if he needs anything else there’s Heidi *makes hand gestures*.
When asked if he talks with Rob, Kristen or Taylor about the phenomenon he said he’s not really friends with them. He talks to other cast members.
What famous character would he like to play? After thinking for awhile he said Zeus or God *poses with open arms, audience makes reverence*
He said we are all actors, we all play ourselves. He wanted to be an actor because he wanted to be everybody!
He said he liked Mexico because the people are very passionate, even more than in any other place in Latinamerica. He felt great being here.
He likes demetri because he’s very strong and bad. About vampires he’s not necessarily a huge fan “they’re alright. Demetri I love”.
On the rumors of a Twilight TV show he said he’s not aware of the rumors, but that he wouldn’t be interested in it unless it was a Volturi spin-off.
After Twilight he said he would like to play someone crazy, different, interesting. He hopes to have more scenes in Breaking Dawn.
He also talked about his greatest fear, which is looking back at his life at the age of 50 and think that maybe he wasted his time or youth.
>> Pictures of the event here!*
*Please take only one picture for your blog and link back to the rest. It’s a very special request but after all that we endured at this event, we at least deserve fans coming to our site and seeing our pictures here. Thanks for understanding and please read the complete post after the jump.

Charlie was awesome to fans, as was Alex the day before. They were in a great mood and ready to meet the fans. These guys never disappoint and the fans were elated after meeting them.
The event in general, however, was a major disappointment. Not only was it built up to be something that it was not (an amazing horror convention that could not be missed for anything in the world) but the way the staff handled/treated the fans during the entire event was baffling to say the least. For instance: you were not allowed to take pictures at the autograph area, or at any other time. You were also not allowed to use your cellphone, which we intended to use to live-tweet from the event like other fansites do when they’re at conventions and panels. Some unfair exceptions were made that are not even worth discussing here, but let’s just say that it was one of many things that left fans feeling not very happy.
At some of the conventions like the official Twilight convention, or even at major conventions like Comic Con, you are allowed to take pictures at all times. Sometimes even video. Here you were not even allowed to *look* at the Charlie or Alex before or after entering the autograph area. Guards made sure of that by putting a screen to hide them from fans and placing themselves in front of the screen as well (in case you had X-Ray vision).
The fans were very happy to see Alex Meraz and Charlie Bewley in their country, which is a rare opportunity for any fan that lives outside of the US. However, there were some complaints about the midnight party (which looked terribly boring from the pictures we saw, to be very honest) and some inconsistencies with the price for admission, among many other concerns that left the fans very confused.
Hopefully the people at Hallowfest takes note of everything, listens to the fans’ complaints and checks out the official Twilight conventions, or other conventions for that matter, to learn how things are done in case they actually put another convention next year. False advertising, a rude and incompetent staff, various inconsistencies with what was promised for the price of admission and an overall low quality in content, activities and stands are things that leave consumers unsatisfied, disappointed and upset.
I’m sure you’re going to read other blog posts or news posts here and there calling the event the most amazing experience in the world, but if you read the many complaints on their Facebook page (Spanish) you’ll see that this was truly not the case. Trust us when we tell you that the event left a lot to be desired. There’s literally not a single positive comment on their Facebook page about the event.
Alex and Charlie rocked, I have to stress this. They were great sports during this whole fiasco, and were amazing to fans who were simply elated to seeing them in the flesh. Like I mentioned earlier, not many cast members visit Mexico, and even when they do, it’s hard for people to actually get the chance to see them, so this was a rare opportunity for fans. For this reason alone the event could have been, and should have been, up to the standards that Twilight fans expected to see and paid for.
If any of you attended the event, leave your comments and share with people what you experienced, good or bad (English please, Spanish comments on our Spanish post). For us it was only worth it because of Alex and Charlie, other than that we give Hallowfest a 2 out of 10 and two thumbs DOWN.

I was there and for being honest, the whole fest was them!!! come one!! the place was so but so small and there weren’t many stands and variety. Conferences were really boring and for some reason, that horror house was really a torture house! I ended with a terrible, terrible headache and didn’t stay to the party for so many screams, even when I got a gold bracelet. But the good part is that Alex and Charlie were really friendly, mostly Charlie and in the end, it was a success thanks to them!
Oh I forgot! That Cullen Club… honestly! Those girls are so annoying!!! They were talking and talking during the whole conference because they were looking for the perfect question to impress Charlie! GET REAL, GIRLS!
