True Blood’s James Frain Talks About Working With Rob on Water for Elephants

Vampire fandoms collided and we had no idea! True Blood’s James Frain who plays vampire Franklin in the third season worked opposite Robert Pattinson in Water for Elephants where he plays a caretaker at the circus.
According to a new interview, James is sorry that he didn’t get a chance to talk about vampires with Rob.

“My scenes were with Robert Pattinson but I’m sorry to say we didn’t swap vampire stories. I wish we had.

“People can’t believe there’s going to be a scene in the movie with a Twilight vampire talking to a True Blood vampire and that we didn’t spend our time chatting about that, but I’m afraid not. I wish I’d got vampire tips from him, I wish I’d gone ‘Oi, Bob mate, any tips?’.”

But James was full of praise for Robert, saying: “He’s sweet, quite shy, just a really good guy.”

Here’s a clip of True Blood where James played a pretty terrifying vampire. In these series, vampires can hypnotize people to make them do what they want. They cannot enter their homes without the humans’ permission.

This isn’t really the first time True Blood and Twilight have collided. In 2009 Rachelle Lefevre filmed a movie in Puerto Rico with Stephen Moyer, the series leading vamp. And in 2010 Nikki Reed filmed a movie with Deborah Ann Woll.

Remember Me Is The Most Misunderstood Film of the Year According to Rope of Silicon

More late love for this wonderful movie! Rope of Silicon listed the best movies of 2010 along with some honorable mentions and Remember Me made the cut as the Most Misunderstood Film of the Year.

Perhaps the most misunderstood film of the year. People called the ending a “twist” which I guess means any time you’re walking around your house and you stub your toe it’s a twist because you didn’t expect to do it. This movie presented events in a way no other film has dared to try, the same way we lived it, without knowing and without warning. And I applaud it for having the guts to do so.

Hopefully Remember Me becomes one of those cult classics in a few years. There’s so many movies that were never appreciated in its own time and years later they’re praised. Perhaps this will be the case. Either way, we’re still very proud of Rob for his performance and fo taking a chance with this script.

E!’s 2010 Celebrity of the Year Is…

Robert Pattinson!

This is so unexpected! Ok, probably not, but it does prove once again for all the non-believers that Rob’s star is still shining as powerful and strong as ever taking %51.5 of the votes on E!’s online poll while beating Kristen Stewart (that must’ve been a tough vote for some of you!).

While both actors shared in the success of this summer’s third Twilight installment, Eclipse, which brought in more than $300 million at the box office, it seemed Stewart had the more noteworthy year, career-wise. Her two other films, The Runaways and Welcome to the Rileys, both earned the actress solid critical and audience acclaim, further establishing her as more than just Bella Swan. Pattinson’s other film, Remember Me, on the other hand…Well, critics and audiences had other thoughts on that one.

Best of luck to Rob and Kristen! 2011 is going to bring out the best we’ve seen from them so far, and in my opinion, it will be a defining year in their careers. Cannot wait to see how everything unfolds!

Will Rob Hire a Decoy When He’s in Vancouver?

Rob is reportedly looking to hire a look-a-like for when he hits Vancouver for the filming of Brealing Dawn in February. According to sources:

“He’s become the focus of a group of over-zealous female fans. Robert is constantly inundated with fan mail but one group of four girls have been targeting him repeatedly, telling him they want to do ruse, saucy things to him. One girl from Japan has started turning up wherever he is.

“Robert thinks there’s only one thing for it and that is to increase his security and use a body double. It may seem a bit extreme but at least he can now be in two countries at once and spend some quality time with Kristen.”

However, according to Gossip Cop, this story is “ridiculous”:

he has stand-ins on set,” but he’s not hiring a full-time “double” for his personal life.

There’s some crazy people in this fandom, so I wouldn’t doubt for a minute that new safety measures will be considered for this final movie. Whatever they choose to do, I don’t think they’ll share the plan!
