Catherine Hardwicke will direct The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo star Noomi Rapace in the biopic of Swedish popstar Anita Lindblom.
Written by Swedish scribe Peter Birro, the still-untitled film centers on Lindblom’s well-publicized romance with boxer Högberg, who will be played by Rapace’s real-life husband Ola Rapace. Rapace has reportedly been training as a boxer for four years in anticipation of this project.
Hardwicke (Thirteen, Twilight) told Screen Daily today that she was drawn to the script because “it throws us back into Swedish celebrity culture of the 1960s, where the name is more important than the person.”

Sounds like it will be another edgy project by Catherine, like Thirteen and Lords of Dogtown.

Kellan is impressed with Rob’s new body for Breaking Dawn. Though has always been fit, this time we noticed a lot more muscle, especially in that unforgettable honey moon sneak peek.
“Someone asked if that was me. Is that Kellan’s back? I’m really proud of Rob for working out and really training really hard. He cycled so hard and trained very hard, and he’s really diligent. He talked to me about what proteins to drink and what to do and he listened and cared. He had a great mentality for it.”
On Twilight being almost over:
“I love the ‘Twilight’ movies,” Kellan said. “They enabled me to work with the commercial side of the industry and then make great independent movies that I’m proud of like ‘Syrup.’ It’s not bittersweet; its all sweet. It’s all pro vs. pro. It’s great that we shot the last movie of ‘Twilight,’ ‘Breaking Dawn,’ but we still have two more years of press, so it’s not over for a while.”
